Monday June 4 – Albuquerque

Not a whole lot to report today.  We woke up around 4:00 am this morning with the lunar eclipse shining through the bedroom window.  I know, how can a lunar eclipse shine through a window.  Well you see it was just a partial eclipse.   Two weeks ago we saw a solar eclipse and now a lunar eclipse.  How often does that happen?   Tomorrow we go for the trifecta, the “Transit of Venus”. That is where Venus passes over the sun.  It is cloudy today so I hope it clears enough for us to see it tomorrow afternoon because the next time the Transit will happen is December of 2117. Don’t think we will be around then.

Dianne heard another casino calling her this morning so we had to high tail it up north a few miles to the Sandia Casino. When we got their players club card they gave each of us $25 for being new members. Well Glory Oscar we ended up playing with their money and walked out of the casino with a nice profit of $112. Will wonders never cease?  Especially since we only played minimum bets of 25 or 30 cents.  We each hit a bonus totaling $28 which helped our winnings total out a whole bunch.

After a little grocery shopping we got back to the motor home to do a little house keeping before moving to Santa Fe tomorrow.

Last time we talked about the drivers around here.  We forgot to mention that the drivers here figure that a save driving distance between cars is somewhere around 6 inches and that distance decreases the faster you go.  You want to change lanes, just do it. It doesn’t matter if there is someone in that lane or not. Kamikaze Driving.

Picture link, you know what to do by now.

I hope you enjoy Santa Fe as much as we did. We were there a week and did the museums, church, art colonies(they had open houses that week) and the plaza. There is so much history and great food. And lots of statues around every corner it seemed. Enjoy.
